It has been a very busy month for the Higgins family. I was home from Indiana for a total of two days before TJ and I headed out for a little road trip. We drove first to Helena where we enjoyed the first concert on the new grandstands at the fairgrounds. We saw one of our favorite country groups, Little Big Town. They were fantastic!! They sound even better live than they do on their cds. Helena friends--we are sorry that we didn't have time to call you. We stopped for a quick dinner before the concert and headed directly to Great Falls after it was over. We drove the hour and a half from Helena to Great Falls that night after the concert because we had an important date in Great Falls. Mom invited Dad's best friend from high school to dinner. He was in town for his class reunion and said that he would love to talk to my siblings and I about our dad. We all gathered at Mom's house to hear childhood stories of our dad from the guy who knew him the best. Wow, were we surprised! Dad had a bit of a wild side when he was young! We had such a great time with Dave (Dad's friend) and his wife Cindy and feel so lucky to have gained a bit more insight into who our dad was. We miss him so much and love hear stories about him and remember him ourselves!
TJ took some great shots of these beautiful horses just outside of Browning on our way home from Great Falls. We were back in Kalispell for one day before I flew out to New Mexico for my IB conference.
